The First Few Days

The adhesive is still bonding to the glass. Give it time before you wipe the film or lower the window. Cold or humid weather and big windows take a little longer.

Windows upDay 3 to 5: clear and cured

Keep windows up

For 3 to 5 days, so the film can't shift or peel at the edges.

Don't clean it yet

Leave the tinted side alone until it has cured.

Leave pockets alone

Small water pockets and haze dry out on their own. Don't press or peel.

Defroster lines

The rear defroster lines and dotted edges can stay hazy a little longer. That's expected.

Cleaning Your Tint

Once it has cured, keeping tint clear comes down to the right cloth and the right cleaner.

Wait until it's cured

Give the tinted side a few days before its first clean.

Use a soft microfiber

Or a clean cotton cloth. Never paper towels, abrasive pads or scrapers.

Ammonia-free cleaner only

Ammonia clouds tint and breaks down the adhesive. Mild soap and water works too.

Spray the cloth, not the glass

Especially near the edges, so liquid can't wick under the film.

Wipe gently

Let the cleaner do the work. Hard scrubbing can scratch the film or lift an edge.

Common questions

Tint Questions

What people ask us after a tint job.

Call (763) 321-6523
When can I roll my windows down? +

Give it about 3 to 5 days. It can take longer in cold or humid weather, so when in doubt, wait an extra day.

Why does my tint look cloudy or bubbly? +

That is moisture from the install working its way out. Haze and small water pockets are normal while it cures and clear on their own.

There are still little bubbles after a week. Now what? +

Give it a little longer in cold weather. If bubbles are still there after it should have cured, call us and we will take a look.

What can I clean it with? +

An ammonia-free glass cleaner, or mild soap and water, on a soft microfiber.

Can I use my rear defroster? +

Yes, once the film has cured. The defroster lines can stay a little hazy for longer than the rest of the glass.

Is my tint warrantied? +

Yes. A lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking and fading.
